DirtMarket provided off-haul and placement services for wet tunnel spoils generated during the excavation of a 17,600-foot tunnel as part of the Silicon Valley Clean Water project in San Carlos. The material, referred to as tunnel muck, required specialized handling, environmental review, and regulated placement.

DirtMarket’s scope of work included analytical review and classification of tunnel spoils, transportation and placement of wet material, and site preparation at the designated receiving site at Oyster Bay Regional Park. Coordination with the tunnel excavation team ensured year-round access and environmental compliance throughout the duration of the project.
