The Rinconada Water Treatment Plant Residuals Management Project in Los Gatos, CA, modernized critical treatment and residuals-handling infrastructure for the Santa Clara Valley Water District. Completed in 2016, the project improved operational reliability, process efficiency, and long-term plant performance.
Preston Pipelines’ scope included the removal and replacement of 25 large-diameter valves to improve water flow control and system dependability. The project also upgraded the plant’s sludge management process by replacing existing sludge drying beds and belt filter presses with new gravity thickeners and a centrifuge system, improving residuals handling and operational efficiency.
These improvements enhanced the plant’s treatment capabilities while supporting regulatory compliance and reliable water service throughout the district.
