Kaiser Permanente Roseville Medical Center is expanding care in the community with the construction of a new six-story hospital tower. The tower will add 138 patient beds, including 20 ICU beds, and expand the emergency department with 36 additional beds. It will also feature six new operating rooms, a pharmacy, and larger imaging and diagnostic areas. The project, which includes a new 803-stall parking garage, is expected to be completed by 2027.
Preston’s scope of work included constructability reviews and pricing updates, utility potholing, test pit excavation, and BIM modeling. Construction included the removal of hard Mehrten ground for all the sewer, storm, water, fire water, and excavation and backfill of domestic water storage tanks and sanitary sewer storage tanks, and exdvacation and backfill of hydronic chilled water infrastructure. The project will be completed in September 2024 with a contract value of over $15 million.
