To support the expansion of Kaiser Permanente Roseville Medical Center, the Make Ready project laid the essential groundwork for a new six-story hospital tower. The facility will add 138 patient beds, including 20 ICU beds, and significantly expand emergency care with 36 additional beds. The tower will also include six operating rooms, a pharmacy, and upgraded imaging and diagnostic services. A new 803-stall parking garage is also part of the larger development, expected to be completed in 2027.
Preston Pipelines’ role in the Make Ready phase included constructability reviews, pricing updates, BIM modeling, utility potholing, and test pit excavation. Construction efforts focused on trenching through hard rock for the installation of sewer, storm drain, domestic water, fire water, and hydronic chilled water systems. Our team also managed the excavation and backfill of domestic water and sanitary sewer storage tanks. With a contract value exceeding $15 million, Preston completed its work in September 2024, helping pave the way for one of the region’s most significant healthcare expansions.
