The Fair Oaks Overhead Bridge Replacement project in Sunnyvale, California, rehabilitated and widened a critical 60-year-old transportation structure to improve safety, accessibility, and long-term infrastructure reliability. Delivered for the City of Sunnyvale in partnership with Joseph J. Albanese, the project included bridge widening, seismic upgrades, and the addition of a new pedestrian walkway spanning a major highway and active rail lines.
Preston Pipelines performed installation of key underground utility infrastructure supporting the bridge improvements, including storm drain, sanitary sewer, and water systems. The work required careful coordination within an active public works environment and alongside ongoing transportation operations in the surrounding corridor.
Through phased construction, coordination, and efficient field execution, Preston successfully delivered the underground infrastructure necessary to support modernization of this important public transportation connection.
