The Emeryville Center of Innovation Campus Expansion project added more than 900,000 square feet of multi-tenant life sciences space across four new buildings and a multi-level parking structure in Emeryville, California. Developed by BioMed Realty, the large-scale campus expansion was designed to support the continued growth of the region’s biotechnology and research industries.

Preston Pipelines played a key role in the project’s early infrastructure phase, delivering critical underground utility systems necessary to support future development. The scope of work included installation of storm drain, sanitary sewer, domestic water, and fire water infrastructure, as well as demolition of an existing culvert to prepare the site for vertical construction.

Working in coordination with Hathaway Dinwiddie and project stakeholders, Preston successfully delivered the underground infrastructure required to support one of the Bay Area’s premier life sciences developments. The completed utility systems established the foundation for future buildings and long-term campus operations.
