As summer break comes to a close, our 2026 cohort of summer interns reflect on their journey working at Preston. From first-hand lessons on site to internal events building connections, our interns have had experiences that are already shaping their futures in the industry.

On Intern Presentation Day, each intern shared the insights, knowledge, and skills they were able to obtain from the various projects they contributed to. Some of them came to Preston with no prior experience in construction or engineering, but because of this summer with Preston, are now considering pursuing the profession. For others, it solidified their career goals. Every intern made an impact here. They forged meaningful connections and built technical tools that will benefit their teams long after their internship ends. They asked questions during job walks. They interacted with various departments, learning the ins and outs of the business. They found camaraderie at company gatherings. We are proud of what they’ve made out of their time at Preston Companies.
